Prestressed Concrete Strand is a high carbon, seven-wire product that is used to impart compression forces into pre-cast structures, providing reinforcement for pre-stressed and post-tensioned concrete. It is primarily used in concrete infrastructure application including bridges, commercial buildings, parking decks and other slab on grade construction projects.

Galvanized strand, also known as barrier cable, is primarily used in vehicle and pedestrian restraint systems. The most common use is in parking garages. Due to the higher strength to weight ratio of galvanized strand, it is economically efficient as it costs less to place than precast panels, cast-in-place or concrete barriers. Barrier cable also affords visual appeal, as opposed to concrete walls which can create blind spots.
CRP stocks and supplies the post-tension industry with 1/2", 7-wire galvanized strand, 250K and 270K, as specified to ASTM A475-98.
